ایک درخت مشہورہے بہت بلند جس کے پتے صنوبر کی مانندـ ـ ـ ، بیج تخم خیارکی مانند ہوتا ہے اس کی لکڑی سیاہ رنگ کی ہوتی ہے یہ لکڑی بھی دوا کے طور پر استعمال ہوتی ہے
ذائقہ :پھیکا قدرے تلخی مائل(رنگ)سیاہ
مقدارخوراک:پانچ گرام تا سات گرام
مزاج:گرم خشک دوسرے درجے میں ،بجوہر قابض مصلح شہد
افعال واستعمال ،مجفف جالی، قابض مصفیٰ خون جوش خون کو بجھاتا ہے

Ebony is a dense black wood, most commonly yielded by several different species in the genus Diospyros. Ebony is dense enough to sink in water.
Black Ebony - Endangered Tree Plantation Wood
Black Ebony is one of the most valuable and expensive types of wood in the world. It is becoming increasing rare due to over harvesting and the burning of younger trees for firewood in Africa, its native habitat. Black Ebony has now been classified as an endangered species. Many forestry experts are predicting it will be gone in 15 years unless a concerted effort is made to create extensive planting programs. Black Ebony is prized for the black color of its wood that grows denser and blacker the older the tree. It is indigenous to Eastern Africa growing wild on the Savanna Grasslands. Black Ebony is also one of the slowest growing hardwood trees of the world growing just one inch per year on average. Black Ebony grown in Asia has less commercial value than the African species.
